Get Your Report Now! you think IT professionals get paid the most in California you might be surprised. That's what a survey by dice.com, a job search site, found in a recent survey. Number 1 state for IT salaries - Delaware. There 64% of the 15,472 permanent IT pros made $50,000 or more. Kansas (way to go Dorothy!) was next with 63%, followed by South Carolina. California was fourth with 58%. A company spokesman said: "Base pay has now gone up very, very dramatically in places other than the West Coast, as start ups spread around the country."
