Most HR Pros Don't Deem Executive Pay Excessive
Most human resource professionals don't believe that the top executives at their company are vastly overpaid, according to a recent Compensation.blr.com poll.

When asked "Are top executives at your company overpaid?," 38 percent of respondents answered "Not at all," and 30 responded "Slightly," reflecting that 68 percent did not view the pay of their executives to be excessive. Slightly less than one-third (31 percent) of respondents believed that their top executives were "Vastly" overpaid.

Compensation.blr.com posed the question to HR professionals on the heels of a study by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), which found that most top executives believed their peers are overpaid and do not provide value for money for their companies. According to NACD, two out of three executives reported that the compensation of top executives was high relative to their performance.

The Compensation.BLR.com poll included 253 respondents.
