Pay Range Adjustments Expected to Increase in 2011

Nearly 80 percent of organizations have formal pay structures with pay ranges, according to recent a survey. The survey also found that ray range adjustments are expected to increase in 2011.

Region
The 2010 BenchmarkPro survey gathered regional information on pay range adjustments in 2010, as well as projected pay range adjustments 2011. South Central and West had the highest pay range adjustment in 2010, as well as the highest projected adjustment for 2011.

"The economic uncertainty of the last couple of years caused many companies to shy away from making any significant changes to their pay ranges," said Amy Kaminski, director of marketing for Compdata Surveys. "Although companies are starting to regain their financial footing, increasing the adjustment amount of pay ranges will be a gradual process."
