An employer opinion survey by United Benefit Advisors (UBA) finds that 99.4 percent of top decision makers are concerned with the impact of healthcare costs on their overall corporate costs. More than 50 percent called it a "critical concern" And 97.9 percent are worried about the impact of health costs on their employees. Get Your Report Now!Among other findings, UBA found that employers overall feel better prepared to communicate and implement strategies to better manage benefits. But they considered themselves less prepared to meet legislative and regulatory requirements, and felt those are becoming increasingly complex. Fewer than one in six employers surveyed believed the government should develop a universal healthcare system paid for with tax dollars.
“On an encouraging note,” said UBA Vice President William Stafford, “there is a trend of employers implementing wellness and health management strategies that they feel are having a positive impact on chronic conditions.”
