Employees showing increasing confidence in accuracy of their paychecks, says survey

"Employees are showing increasing confidence in the accuracy of their paycheck," said Dan Maddux, executive director of the APA. "That accuracy is a testament to the great job being done by our nation's payroll professionals who calculate the paychecks for the Americans who depend on them."

The "Getting Paid In America" survey asked "How certain are you that your payroll withholding and the net amount of your paycheck are correct each payday?" More than 28,300 of the 30,611 survey participants indicated they are very confident or confident their paycheck is correct each payday.

"It's no surprise that most Americans expect their paychecks to be error-free, and it's universally acknowledged that accurate payroll preparation and execution is a must-have for every company doing business today—no matter what the size," said Regina Lee, president, ADP National Account Services, Major Account Services, GlobalView, and ADP Canada.

“Fortunately, automated time and labor management solutions are helping companies avoid the errors most commonly associated with manual time entry. We applaud the American Payroll Association for its continued support of technological innovation as a means of advancing the industry throughout the United States."

The "Getting Paid In America" survey coincides with APA's annual public awareness campaign National Payroll Week (NPW), held annually during the week of Labor Day. More than 30,600 employees responded to the survey, providing insight into how employees are paid in America. For complete results, visit www.nationalpayrollweek.com.
