Most employers gave out bonuses at the end of 2007, and the majority of those that did gave them to all employees as opposed to just high performers or top line management only, according to a Compensation.BLR.com poll.
When asked "Did your company give end-of-year bonuses in 2007?," 39 percent responded "Yes, merit increases were given across the board." Meanwhile, 10 percent responded "Yes, to top line management/executives only" while 6 percent responded "Yes, to certain high performers only." Less than half (44 percent) responded that their company did not give end-of year bonuses.
